Betano Supports Inclusive Football in Argentina
Betano has announced a new partnership with Fundación Empate in Argentina, supporting a series of inclusive football initiatives designed for athletes with Down syndrome.
The collaboration includes an adapted football tournament and forms part of a broader pathway leading to Fundación Empate’s flagship championship events. The project aims to create more opportunities for young athletes while encouraging greater inclusion within Argentine sport.
The initiative is being delivered through Kaizen Gaming’s “Challenge Your Limits” program. As part of the agreement, 192 athletes will receive weekly training sessions, while additional support will be provided to help participants prepare for the FUT21 National Tournament, Argentina’s major futsal competition for players with Down syndrome, scheduled for October.
Fundación Empate highlighted that the partnership goes beyond financial support by providing athletes with opportunities to improve both on and off the field through regular training and competitive experiences.
Betano stated that the project reflects its approach to corporate social responsibility, focusing on initiatives that contribute positively to local communities and promote inclusion through sport.
In addition to athlete development, the agreement includes a training program for sports professionals. More than 800 coaches, physical education teachers, physiotherapists and support staff will take part in Inclusive Sports Teacher Training Workshops designed to provide updated methodologies for working with athletes in adapted sporting environments.
By combining player development with coach education, the initiative aims to support a long-term and sustainable model for inclusive football.
The partnership builds on Betano’s previous involvement in adapted sports projects through the “Challenge Your Limits” program. Among its earlier initiatives was support for Argentina’s national blind football team, Los Murciélagos, including assistance with infrastructure and athlete development.
According to the program, more than 900 athletes in Argentina have benefited from its initiatives to date.
