BetMGM Launches Live-Streamed Slots in New Jersey

BetMGM has teamed up with Awager to introduce a live-streamed slot machine offering for players in New Jersey, adding remotely operated physical gaming machines to its online casino portfolio.

The launch will make Awager’s remote gaming technology available to customers of BetMGM and Borgata Online within New Jersey’s regulated iGaming market. Through the platform, players can access physical slot machines via live video streaming, with the machines hosted inside regulated studio environments.

50 Slot Cabinets Available at Launch

The initial rollout features 50 slot cabinets offering more than 30 game titles.

The selection includes games from Aristocrat Gaming, including Buffalo Ascension and Lightning Link.

The technology provides a live feed of the physical machines through video and audio, while player commands are transmitted to the machines in real time. This allows users to interact remotely with the physical cabinets through the online interface.

The agreement combines Awager’s remote gaming platform with BetMGM’s existing online casino technology, creating another format alongside conventional digital casino content.

Awager Expands Remote Gaming Technology

Awager said its platform is designed to work with different slot machine cabinets and currently operates studio facilities across North America and Europe.

The company also stated that its focus is on deploying its technology within regulated iGaming markets.

Superna Kalle, Chief Strategy Officer at Aristocrat, said:

“Bringing land-based play online is at the heart of our mission to deliver a truly authentic casino experience straight to players’ devices. We’re incredibly proud to partner with BetMGM on this launch and continue expanding access to real slot machine play. Together, we’re creating new ways for players to enjoy the games they love while preserving the authenticity and trust that make the land-based casino experience so compelling.”

Rob Passerino, Director of Gaming at BetMGM, added:

“At BetMGM, we’re committed to bringing new and innovative gaming experiences to our players. The addition of Awager’s live slots offering creates an exciting new way for our players to engage with slot machines digitally. This is just the beginning of our partnership, and we look forward to continuing to work together to explore new opportunities that further enhance the BetMGM online casino experience.”
