Betway Named Formula 1’s First Official Betting Operator
Betway has secured a multi-year partnership with Formula 1, becoming the motorsport championship’s first Official Betting Operator, according to an announcement from Super Group, the parent company behind the sportsbook and iGaming brand.
The agreement marks the first time the global racing series has introduced a formally designated betting partner within its commercial partnership portfolio.
Betway operates under Super Group (SGHC) Limited, which also runs the Spin online casino platform. Through the new partnership, Betway will incorporate betting-related data and analytical insights tied to Formula 1 race events within its sportsbook offering.
The collaboration will utilise services developed with support from ALT Sports Data, which serves as Formula 1’s Official Betting Data Supplier. By leveraging race information generated throughout events, the partnership will deliver predictive analytics and betting-focused insights designed for sportsbook markets linked to the championship. The initiative also includes the development of proprietary data products and odds pricing solutions connected to race outcomes.
Within the Betway platform, official race data will support a variety of live betting options during events. These markets may cover elements such as safety car appearances, pit stop strategies and battles for race position between drivers and teams. Access to official data feeds enables sportsbooks to structure and manage betting markets using verified information generated directly from Formula 1 race operations.
Formula 1 produces extensive data through timing systems, telemetry and race monitoring across circuits and teams. The integration of this information into betting products reflects a wider industry trend in which sportsbook operators increasingly rely on official sports data to power live betting markets and analytics-based wagering experiences.
The partnership comes ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season, which will introduce new technical regulations affecting car design and performance. Betway already has a presence in the sport through its sponsorship with Atlassian Williams Racing, which began in the previous season.
For Super Group, the agreement expands Betway’s exposure across global sport while linking its sportsbook offering to one of the world’s most prominent motorsport competitions. For Formula 1, the deal introduces its first dedicated betting operator partnership as part of its commercial programme, reflecting the growing presence of betting-related collaborations across the international sports and iGaming landscape.
Super Group CEO Neal Menashe said the partnership represents a milestone for the Betway brand and will allow the company to deliver innovative betting markets to customers during Formula 1 race weekends.
Formula 1 Director of Commercial Partnerships Jonny Haworth noted that sports betting has become an increasingly common way for fans to engage with live events, adding that Formula 1’s extensive data infrastructure enables new opportunities for regulated betting products built around real-time race information.
