DraftKings Approved for Online Sportsbook in Arkansas
iGaming operator DraftKings Inc. has secured approval from the Arkansas Racing Commission to obtain a license to launch its online sportsbook in the state, operating through Southland Casino Hotel, pending final regulatory clearances.
The authorization follows a market access agreement between DraftKings and Southland Casino Hotel, allowing the company to offer its mobile sportsbook to eligible Arkansas customers. With this addition, DraftKings’ regulated sportsbook footprint now spans 30 US states, plus Washington, D.C., Ontario and Puerto Rico, covering roughly 53% of the US population.
Once operational, Arkansas users will have access to DraftKings’ platform, featuring same-game parlays, in-game wagering and promotional odds boosts. The company also provides responsible gaming tools such as My Stat Sheet, which tracks betting activity and My Budget Builder, which helps players set limits and reminders.
DraftKings operates across North American sports betting and igaming markets, offering mobile and retail wagering in licensed jurisdictions. Southland Casino Hotel, in West Memphis, Arkansas, provides the required market access for this launch.
The expansion further extends DraftKings’ presence in regulated US sports betting and igaming. No official launch date has been announced.
Gregory Karamitis, DraftKings Executive VP and General Manager of Sports, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Southland Casino Hotel to bring our top-rated mobile sportsbook to Arkansas. As March Madness and major sporting events unfold, we look forward to offering customers innovative features, a leading live betting experience and strong responsible gaming tools.”
