Greentube Launches Piggy Prizes: Ghost of Gambini

Greentube, the digital gaming and entertainment division of NOVOMATIC, has expanded its popular Piggy Prizes™ series with the release of Piggy Prizes™: Ghost of Gambini™. Set in a haunted mansion, the new slot combines supernatural characters, locked prizes and piggy-bank features with a Halloween theme.

Ghost of Gambini Adds New Ways to Unlock Prizes

The latest title retains the series’ signature mechanic, in which coin and pot symbols appear locked and padlocked on the reels. These prizes unlock when they land alongside a Gambini or Ghost symbol on the centre reel. Both characters also function as Wild symbols.

The Ghost of Gambini introduces additional rewards during regular gameplay, adding coins and jackpots to the reels while increasing the value of any existing coin it lands on.

Two special mechanics can also influence the outcome of a spin. Magic Spin can randomly stop the centre reel first with a Gambini symbol visible, while Magic Rewind can move that reel backwards to land a Gambini symbol. The rewind feature can also reposition non-winning reels onto locked jackpot symbols.

Piggy Pots Trigger Lock & Spin Features

Whenever a Gambini symbol lands on the centre reel, it tosses a coin into one or both piggy pots. Once a pot reaches its maximum capacity and bursts, the Lock & Spin feature activates with three spins. If both pots burst simultaneously, the feature starts with four spins.

During Lock & Spin, White Ghosts place Bronze frames, which can subsequently upgrade to Silver and Gold. Gold Ghosts place Gold frames directly. At the end of the feature, all frames convert into cash prizes or jackpots.

An additional bonus awaits when the Ghost of Gambini bursts a pot, triggering Super Lock & Spin. This feature permits only Gold Ghosts to land and every Gold frame awards a jackpot.

Greentube Expands Its Piggy Prizes Portfolio

The new release brings a seasonal addition to one of Greentube’s successful game series. By introducing a second Gambini character, the game builds on the established Piggy Prizes formula, connecting base-game rewards with the bonus features.

Richard Ganster, Director of Games Strategy and Games Portfolio Management at Greentube, said the new title builds on the series’ existing following while giving players additional reasons to watch the centre reel.

He explained that the second Gambini symbol adds coins, increases their values and feeds the piggy pots, helping build towards the bonus round. Ganster also highlighted Super Lock & Spin, where every frame awards a jackpot, as a key feature of the game.

He added that the Halloween theme makes Ghost of Gambini a suitable release for operators preparing their portfolios for the fourth quarter.
