Octoplay Launches Casino Content in Alberta

Octoplay has entered Alberta’s regulated iGaming market, launching its casino content with seven operators as the Canadian province opened its market.

The supplier’s games are now available through BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, Betty, Rush Street Interactive, PENN and bet365.

The launch marks Octoplay’s biggest simultaneous market entry so far. It follows the company receiving a conditional licence for Alberta in June 2025, ahead of the province’s regulated iGaming launch.

With its Alberta entry, Octoplay now operates across 20 regulated markets worldwide and has four active regulated jurisdictions in North America.

The supplier initially entered Canada through Ontario in 2023 before moving into the US market with BetMGM in New Jersey. Its US operations later expanded to Michigan, where Octoplay went live in December 2025 with BetMGM, FanDuel, Fanatics and Rush Street Interactive.

Beyond North America, Octoplay has a presence across regulated iGaming markets including the UK, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Malta, Slovakia and Brazil.

Ralitsa Georgieva, CEO at Octoplay, said: “Alberta brings together tier-one partners we have built strong relationships with across other markets, including BetMGM, FanDuel, Rush Street Interactive, bet365, Betty, and DraftKings, alongside a new tier-one partnership with PENN. Having seven leading operators live on day one in a completely new region shows the trust these brands place in our content and in our ability to deliver at the pace regulated markets require.”
