PAGCOR Gains ISO Certification for 16 Casino Filipino Sites
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has secured ISO 9001:2015 certification for 16 Casino Filipino locations and branches, marking the adoption of internationally recognised quality management standards across the selected sites.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco accepted the certification from DQS Certification Phils. Inc. during an awarding ceremony on August 13 at PAGCOR’s Corporate Office in Pasay City.
The certification followed surveillance audits carried out from March 2 to March 5, 2026, and from March 9 to March 10, 2026. All 16 Casino Filipino locations included in the certification underwent the audit process.
Certified Casino Filipino Locations
The certified sites are Casino Filipino Mactan, Venezia, Calamba, Town Center, Premier, Apo View, El Rancho, Fuente, Subic Bay Yacht Club, Tropicana, Adriatico, Grand Imperial Gensan, Iloilo, Oriental Pavilion, Leisure World and Cagayan Valley.
The locations are spread across different parts of the Philippines and operate under PAGCOR. The certification covers the listed branches as part of the agency’s broader quality management efforts.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for quality management systems. PAGCOR said the certification reflects its commitment to improving performance through established standards and processes.
Strengthening Quality Systems
Tengco described the certification as another achievement for PAGCOR and credited the agency’s personnel for their collective efforts in improving operational standards.
He said the certification is expected to support ongoing improvements to PAGCOR’s systems and processes. The ISO framework provides a structure for strengthening procedures, enhancing efficiency and encouraging consistency and accountability in carrying out the agency’s mandate.
The 16 locations were required to complete surveillance audits as part of the certification process. The assessments examined the sites covered under the certification and contributed to the certification awarded by DQS Certification Phils. Inc.
Quality and Environmental Management
Tengco also urged PAGCOR personnel to continue supporting the agency’s Quality and Environmental Management System. He connected the quality management initiative with PAGCOR’s environmental sustainability efforts.
The agency said quality and environmental responsibility would remain part of its ongoing activities. Personnel were encouraged to contribute to these efforts as PAGCOR continues applying its management system throughout its operations.
PAGCOR did not provide additional details on specific environmental initiatives or operational changes resulting from the certification.
Certification Runs Through 2029
The ISO 9001:2015 certification covering the 16 Casino Filipino locations remains valid until March 22, 2029, subject to the completion of annual surveillance audits.
The yearly assessments will enable the certification body to review whether the participating sites continue to meet the applicable requirements. The certification therefore provides PAGCOR with a defined framework and review schedule for maintaining the recognised quality standards.
The certification of the 16 Casino Filipino sites represents another step in PAGCOR’s quality management programme, with the agency continuing to implement its quality and environmental management system while the covered locations undergo annual reviews through 2029.
