PAGCOR Retains ISO 9001 Certification

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the fourth consecutive cycle following a surveillance audit conducted in December. The renewal confirms the regulator’s continued alignment with internationally recognised quality management standards.

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco formally received the certification from DQS Certification Phils. Inc. during a presentation held at the agency’s Corporate Office in Pasay City on April 16. He attributed the achievement to the sustained efforts of employees across the organisation.

Ongoing Commitment to Standards
Tengco stated that the recertification reflects PAGCOR’s focus on accountability, operational excellence and continuous improvement. He emphasised that the recognition applies not only to the central office but also to teams working across the agency’s nationwide network.

The audit, carried out between December 15 and 18, 2025, covered 17 operational sites, including multiple Casino Filipino branches located in areas such as Tagaytay, Angeles, Cebu, Bacolod, Olongapo and Manila.

Key Audit Highlights
According to DQS, PAGCOR demonstrated strong performance in leadership, governance and regulatory compliance. The review also highlighted progress in digital transformation, which has contributed to improved efficiency in operational processes.

Additional strengths identified during the audit included resilience in operations, a focus on safety, customer service standards, ongoing innovation, sustainability initiatives and employee development programmes.

Organisation-Wide Consistency
The scope of the review extended beyond administrative functions to include the agency’s broader operational framework, assessing consistency across its various branches. This comprehensive approach reinforced PAGCOR’s ability to maintain standards across different locations.

Tengco linked the outcome to the organisation’s workforce, noting that continued improvements in systems and processes are driven by staff commitment and internal discipline.

Certification Validity
The ISO 9001:2015 certification remains valid until March 22, 2029, subject to annual surveillance audits. The latest renewal confirms that PAGCOR’s systems, procedures and operational practices continue to meet the required benchmarks under the quality management framework.
