PG Soft Launches Thunder Reckoning Slot

PG Soft has expanded its mobile gaming portfolio with Thunder Reckoning, a Norse mythology-inspired video slot that draws on the power of Thor and combines cascading reels with a grid-charging mechanic and expanding Prize symbols.

Played on a 5×6 grid, the game takes place on a frozen mountaintop surrounded by ruined stone pillars, with a red-bearded warrior wielding a hammer amid flashes of lightning. Players win by landing eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels. Winning symbols then explode, allowing replacement symbols to fall from above and create further opportunities for wins.

Each win also advances the grid’s activation process. A position becomes partially activated after its first win and fully activated after a second. Adjacent fully activated positions merge into larger blocks, beginning at 2×2 and potentially expanding to 5×5. If all positions become fully activated, the entire grid combines into a single 5×6 block.

Once the cascading sequences end, the Prize Symbols Feature converts every fully activated position into a Prize symbol matching the size of its merged block. Payouts depend on the symbol’s dimensions: single-position symbols award 0.25x to 1x the bet, while 2×2 blocks pay 5x to 10x and 3×3 blocks award 20x to 200x. A 4×4 block delivers 50x to 500x, and a 5×5 block pays 200x to 1,000x. Activating the entire 5×6 grid results in a prize ranging from 1,000x to 5,000x the bet.

The Free Spins Feature activates when three Scatter symbols land, awarding 10 free spins. Each additional Scatter grants two extra spins. During the feature, every grid position begins partially activated, and the progress accumulated remains in place throughout the round. After the final free spin, the Prize Symbols Feature is triggered, and the free spins feature can also be retriggered.
