PhilWeb Signs Exclusive Pragmatic Play Partnership

PhilWeb Corp has entered into an exclusive partnership with iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play in the Philippines, allowing licensed gaming operators in the country to access the supplier’s content through the PhilWeb platform.

Agreement Awaits Regulatory Clearance

According to a filing submitted to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the partnership remains subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and the completion of contractual requirements. The company did not disclose financial terms or provide a timeline for the launch of the agreement.

The filing also did not clarify whether the partnership includes Pragmatic Play’s entire portfolio of products. The supplier’s offering includes online slots, live casino games, virtual sports and other gaming content delivered through a single application programming interface (API).

PhilWeb noted that Pragmatic Play holds licences from several international gambling regulators, including the Gambling Commission of Great Britain, the Gambling Commissioner Gibraltar and the Malta Gaming Authority. The supplier’s games are available across multiple regulated jurisdictions and support numerous languages and currencies.

The company also stated that Pragmatic Play is headquartered in Gibraltar and is owned by a private investment group led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Ltd. The agreement adds another international content supplier to PhilWeb’s platform business in the Philippines.

Continued Expansion of PhilWeb’s Platform Strategy

The latest partnership strengthens PhilWeb’s position in the country's regulated online gaming market.

Originally focused on electronic gaming operations, the company has increasingly expanded into providing technology and platform services for licensed gaming operators.

This strategic shift has accelerated through several recent partnerships. In March, PhilWeb announced a management-led buyout that resulted in a change of ownership.

Earlier this year, the company launched an online gaming platform for Hann Casino Resort at Clark Freeport Zone. It also entered into partnerships with NUSTAR Online and Travellers International Hotel Group Inc, the operator of Newport World Resorts in Manila.

In May, PhilWeb introduced the Okada Play online gaming platform alongside Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc, the operator of Okada Manila. The new agreement with Pragmatic Play continues the company’s strategy of expanding collaborations with licensed operators across the Philippines.

Expanding Content Availability

The partnership gives PhilWeb another opportunity to broaden the range of gaming content available through its platform.

With Pragmatic Play already operating across numerous regulated markets worldwide, the agreement is expected to provide Philippine licensees with access to a wider content portfolio once all approvals are completed.

PhilWeb said the arrangement will be exclusive within the Philippines, further supporting the company's efforts to strengthen its platform business and expand its role within the country's regulated online gaming sector.

The agreement represents another milestone in PhilWeb’s evolution from an electronic gaming operator into a broader technology and platform services provider, supported by a growing portfolio of partnerships and platform launches.
