Play’n GO Launches Book of Dead GO Collect
Play’n GO has introduced Book of Dead GO Collect, the latest addition to its long-running Dead series. The 5x3 video slot returns players to ancient Egypt, with explorer Rich Wilde venturing beneath desert sands in pursuit of a hidden Treasure Vault and new secrets tied to the Book.
The storyline centres on a submerged temple where Gold Staters appear throughout its chambers, building momentum as the Book’s influence grows. Tomb Scatters guide the journey, while the temple’s altar opens to reveal further challenges. Visually, the game preserves the franchise’s signature aesthetic ornate columns, illuminated symbols and shifting stone backdrops keeping Rich at the heart of the narrative.
Gameplay focuses on the interaction between collected coins and the Book’s mechanics. Gold Staters gathered during the base game symbolise advancement towards the Treasure Vault, culminating in a decisive gamble feature set within a chamber filled with marked coins. Alongside this, the classic Expanding Symbol mechanic returns, maintaining continuity with earlier titles while reinforcing the unfolding story.
As part of Play’n GO’s broader Egypt-themed portfolio, the release directly links to Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead and draws thematic inspiration from Legacy of Dead, Secret of Dead and Pilgrim of Dead. Familiar figures including pharaohs, jackal guardians and sacred birds reappear, now complemented by coin visuals tied to the GO Collect system.
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, described the title as a return to Rich Wilde’s origins, adding that the Treasure Vault element introduces an additional layer of tension to the established formula.
