SBC Events Signs IAGR and IMGL Partnership
SBC Events has announced a new three-year partnership with International Association of Gaming Regulators and International Masters of Gaming Law aimed at supporting regulatory education and international cooperation across the gambling industry.
The agreement will focus on the development of conferences, seminars and educational initiatives designed to encourage knowledge sharing between regulators, legal specialists and gambling industry stakeholders worldwide.
As part of the collaboration, the three organisations plan to produce educational content including videos, podcasts, interviews and written publications centred on gambling regulation and legal developments across international markets.
The International Association of Gaming Regulators is made up exclusively of gambling regulatory bodies, while the International Masters of Gaming Law represents a global network of gaming lawyers, regulators and industry professionals. SBC Events operates international gaming conferences, media platforms and industry content services.
Ben Haden highlighted the importance of communication between regulators and operators, stating that the partnership would create additional opportunities for discussions surrounding regulatory changes and industry standards.
Marc Dunbar said the partnership would combine the legal expertise of IMGL, the regulatory network of IAGR and SBC’s global media reach to help keep the industry informed about evolving legislation in different jurisdictions.
Rasmus Sojmark noted that regulation has become increasingly important for gambling businesses worldwide, particularly as legal frameworks continue to evolve across multiple regions.
The partnership comes as gambling markets in Europe, Latin America, North America and Africa continue to introduce updated regulatory frameworks and compliance measures.
One of the first major projects under the agreement will involve regulatory-focused meetings during the SBC Summit Lisbon, scheduled to take place between 29 September and 1 October 2026 in Lisbon.
The organisations also confirmed plans to jointly support the IAGR Annual Conference 2026, which is set to be held in Lima from 19 to 22 October 2026.
