Stake Launches Platform in Buenos Aires Province
Stake has expanded its footprint in Latin America after launching its online sportsbook and casino platform in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province.
The operator will provide its services through the stake.bet.ar domain under a licence granted by the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC). Buenos Aires Province remains the largest province in Argentina by population, with more than 17 million residents.
Through the new platform, players in the province will gain access to Stake’s sportsbook and casino products, including a mobile-first gaming experience and a wide selection of casino content designed for the local market.
The launch strengthens Stake’s position across Latin America, following the company’s previous expansion efforts in markets such as Mexico, Peru, Brazil and Colombia. Buenos Aires Province continues to attract both international and domestic operators as one of Argentina’s most mature regulated iGaming markets.
Stake’s arrival in the province also comes after the company signed former Argentine football star Sergio Agüero as a brand ambassador.
Founded in 2017, Stake operates online casino and sportsbook brands across a number of regulated jurisdictions worldwide. According to the company, its platforms generate more than 100 million monthly visits globally.
Diana Otalora, LatAm General Manager at Stake, said: “Argentina is a key market for us and an important step in our Latin American expansion strategy. The country has a deeply rooted sports culture, a highly engaged digital audience and strong long-term opportunities for growth.
“We have built significant momentum throughout Latin America over recent years and this launch underlines our goal of becoming a leading entertainment brand in the region. Argentina is a market full of passion and identity and we’re excited to introduce our sportsbook and casino platform to players through stake.bet.ar.”
