Wplay Expands in Colombia with BETER Esports Deal
Wplay has strengthened its igaming and sportsbook offering in Colombia by partnering with supplier BETER to introduce esports betting content to its platform.
As part of the agreement, Wplay will integrate BETER’s ESportsBattle tournaments, bringing disciplines such as eFootball and eBasketball to its player base. The rollout supports the operator’s ongoing efforts to expand its content library within Colombia’s regulated gambling market.
BETER specialises in fast-paced betting content across esports and traditional sports, offering a high frequency of events designed to enable continuous wagering. Its ESportsBattle series features multiple formats, delivering a large volume of matches each year alongside a variety of betting markets.
Operating within Colombia’s regulated igaming environment, Wplay continues to enhance its platform as competition intensifies. The addition of esports betting aligns with a broader industry shift, where operators are incorporating alternative formats to boost engagement and diversify their offerings.
For BETER, the deal marks further growth in Latin America, as the company continues to distribute its products across regulated markets in the region.
Chuck Robinson, CRO at BETER, highlighted Latin America as a key focus for the supplier, noting that the collaboration with Wplay reinforces its regional presence. He added that fast-betting content has become essential for operators aiming to appeal to evolving player preferences and described Wplay as a strong partner aligned with innovation and reliability.
Julio Tamayo of Wplay said the decision to integrate ESportsBattle content was driven by BETER’s position in the fast-betting segment. He also pointed to the supplier’s emphasis on integrity and fair play as a key factor, adding that the partnership will help Wplay further differentiate its offering while delivering high-demand betting experiences.
