YGS Live Launches to Unite Licensed iGaming Creators

A new livestream platform is aiming to reshape the Philippine iGaming creator ecosystem by bringing influencers under a regulated, responsible framework. Named YGS Live, the platform is spearheaded by esports veteran Julius Mariano, better known as Banoobs and seeks to unify content creators around legal, PAGCOR-licensed operators.

Bringing Creators into a Regulated Space

The rapid growth of the creator economy in the Philippines has seen unregulated content gain significant visibility, raising concerns over compliance, consumer protection and market credibility. YGS Live aims to provide a safe environment for creators, operators and audiences, ensuring that all promotion aligns with licensed gaming platforms.

Creators now face a choice: continue promoting brands freely across unregulated channels or join a community that prioritizes long-term legitimacy, compliance and responsible content. Mariano emphasizes that only supporting approved operators can protect both creators and audiences while strengthening the legal iGaming ecosystem.

Responsible Content as a Core Principle

With growing influence over player behaviour, streamers are increasingly expected to guide audiences responsibly. YGS Live places responsible gaming at the heart of its platform, encouraging creators to provide clear information, avoid promoting harmful habits and foster a safer, predictable gaming environment.

The platform also aims to counteract unlicensed operators’ reach, reducing confusion and protecting audience trust. By promoting compliance and transparency, YGS Live positions creators as credible voices in both the local and global iGaming community.

Battle of the Streamers: A Tournament for Licensed Creators

To launch the initiative, YGS Live is hosting Battle of the Streamers, an international iGaming competition with a total prize pool of PHP 11 million. The tournament will run weekly from 15 November, culminating in a final event at City of Dreams Manila in January.

All participating influencers are required to work exclusively with PAGCOR-licensed operators. The tournament provides visibility backed by legitimacy, while offering operators a channel to showcase regulated content and strengthen the legal market.

Shaping a New Standard

YGS Live represents a clear effort to redefine the creator ecosystem, discouraging promotion of unlicensed platforms and highlighting the value of credibility. By offering a regulated space for competition, collaboration and audience engagement, the platform hopes to inspire wider adoption of responsible practices among Filipino content creators.

The coming months will test whether this initiative can influence the broader creator community, but its mission is clear: to lead the transition toward a more responsible, licensed and sustainable iGaming content environment in the Philippines.
