Belatra Games Launches Penalty Blast Slot

Belatra Games has expanded its online slots portfolio with the launch of Penalty Blast, a football-themed title that places its familiar character, The Guy, in a new sporting setting.

The game takes place inside a floodlit stadium, where The Guy moves into football after appearing in the developer’s earlier titles Blast the Bass, Ice Bass and Hunt the Bucks.

Penalty Blast does away with conventional paylines and instead uses a cascading cluster system. Players can win when five or more identical symbols connect horizontally or vertically. Winning symbols then explode, removing other symbols of the same type, while replacement symbols fall into the vacant positions. This can allow several consecutive wins to develop from a single spin.

The Goalkeeper plays a key role in the game. When the character lands next to Ball symbols, he collects their values and multiplies their combined amount by the bet before awarding the resulting payout. Ball symbols can contain multipliers ranging from x1 to x1000, although their values remain hidden until the Goalkeeper appears.

Three different coloured whistles add further features to the base game. The Green Whistle sends Balls onto the reels, where they can either lock into position or trigger an immediate Goalkeeper collection. The Red Whistle clears all low-paying symbols from the grid at once. The Golden Whistle triggers the interactive Penalty Bonus.

Landing four Scatters activates Free Games with an initial 10 spins. Five Scatters add a Booster featuring an x2 multiplier, while six Scatters activate Hot Mode with two Boosters carrying x2 and x3 multipliers.

During the Free Games and Hot Mode features, every Goalkeeper that lands fills a position on the panel above the reels. Filling these positions unlocks additional Boosters and adds extra rounds. Goalkeeper wins are also multiplied according to the Booster that is active when the win occurs.

Penalty Bonus Adds Interactive Feature

The Penalty Bonus gives players a choice of four coloured goal zones, with each area offering a different payout and risk level. The grey zone provides x20, the light blue zone pays x50, the orange zone offers x100 and the pink corner zone carries the highest reward at x250.

Players can either select their own target or allow the game to make the choice automatically.

Penalty Blast also includes a Buy Bonus menu with three options. Players can purchase standard Free Games with a maximum win potential of 10,000x, access Hot Mode with two Boosters and the same 10,000x maximum win or enter the standalone Penalty Bonus with a maximum payout of 250x.

The Bet +100% option doubles the stake while increasing the trigger frequency of Free Games and Hot Mode by four times. The game has a maximum win of $250,000.
