Play’n GO Launches Treats of Terror II Slot
Play’n GO has introduced Treats of Terror II, a new 5×5 slot game inspired by classic 1980s American arcade culture, combining retro visuals with a horror-themed atmosphere.
Set inside a neon-lit arcade filled with glowing machines, sticky floors and vintage gaming references, the slot places players in an environment where the snacks and prizes have taken on a sinister personality.
At the center of the game is the Gobstopper character, described as a destructive creature hunting down the arcade’s prizes. The game blends cartoon-style horror with nostalgic arcade elements, creating a setting built around bright visuals, flashing prize booths, and old-school gaming aesthetics.
Treats of Terror II follows the original Treats of Terror release from Play’n GO, which previously used a haunted cinema setting. The sequel shifts the action into an arcade environment while continuing the series’ horror-inspired theme.
The game features colorful visuals mixed with darker design elements, drawing on the atmosphere of retro arcades with ticket machines, classic cabinets and vintage entertainment references.
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said the title was designed to combine nostalgic arcade memories with unexpected horror elements.
“Treats of Terror II is built around a simple idea of comfort-food nostalgia, then the rug pulled. The arcade is colourful, funny and slightly disgusting in the best way and the Gobstopper makes sure it never feels safe for long” Wallentin said.
According to Play’n GO, the game aims to deliver a retro-inspired experience where familiar arcade imagery is combined with stylized horror and animated snack-themed characters.
