Wazdan Makes Finnish Debut Through Veikkaus Partnership

Wazdan has entered Finland’s gaming market for the first time after agreeing a content distribution partnership with Veikkaus, the country’s state-owned gaming operator. The agreement represents another step in the supplier’s expansion across regulated jurisdictions.

The launch is being delivered through Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform, with three titles forming the initial release: Hot Slot: 777 Platinum Crown, Hot Slot: 777 Gold Crown and Mighty Hot: 777.

The initial selection is expected to grow, with further Wazdan games scheduled to join Veikkaus’ portfolio. Planned additions include Sizzling 777 Deluxe, Mighty Crown: Legacy of Mars, Magic Fruits Deluxe, Hot Slot: 777 Cash Out, Magic Fruits 4 Deluxe, Hot Slot: 777 Coins and Valhalla, as well as other titles from the developer’s catalogue.

The agreement gives Wazdan access to Finland through an established local operator as the country prepares to move away from its traditional gambling monopoly towards a licensing framework. The planned reform is expected to introduce competition to the market in the coming years, while Veikkaus has historically held a monopoly position in the sector.

Wazdan develops slot games for more than 40 regulated markets and releases over 40 titles each year. Its partnership with Veikkaus reflects its approach of entering new territories by collaborating with recognised operators in those markets.

Bekki D’Agata, Commercial Director at Wazdan, highlighted the importance of establishing a relationship with a leading local operator:

The companies expect to expand the selection of Wazdan games available to Veikkaus customers as the partnership progresses.
