Westside Resort Unveiled with New Structure in Manila

A major integrated resort in Manila’s Entertainment City has been rebranded and placed under a new operating structure as it progresses toward completion. The development formerly known as LET X will now operate as Westside Resort, reflecting updated control and branding for the US$1.25 billion project.

New Name Follows Change in Control

The rebranding follows a change in ownership last year, when Travellers International Hotel Group, operator of Newport World Resorts and its parent company Alliance Global Group acquired a majority stake. They took over from Suntrust Resort Developers Inc, which continues to hold a 51 percent interest through its connection to Hong Kong’s LET Group. To ensure the project’s timely completion, the stakeholders formed a new operating entity to manage the development.

This entity, Entertainment City Resorts Corporation (ECRC), now oversees the former LET X integrated resort. Its formation represents a reset in project management and strategic control.

Ownership and Operational Structure

ECRC is 50 percent owned by Alliance Global Group, giving the conglomerate a direct stake in the project. The remaining 50 percent is held by Westside Bayshore Holding Corporation (WBHC), where Travellers holds 60 percent and Suntrust 40 percent. Collectively, Alliance Global Group and Travellers control 80 percent of the resort.

Travellers has been assigned operational control, meaning it will manage daily activities at Westside Resort, including gaming, hospitality and entertainment, once the property opens.

On Track for 3Q26 Completion

ECRC confirmed formal control of the project and unveiled the Westside Resort branding, reiterating the target completion for the third quarter of 2026. The updated structure aims to address earlier delays and keep the project on schedule.

The changes in name and management mark a new chapter while maintaining the resort’s commitment to delivering a premier experience in Entertainment City. Stakeholders are being reassured that the project’s ambitions remain unchanged despite the transition in ownership and operations.

Commitment to Quality and Growth

Management has emphasized continuity and dedication to high-quality development. The focus remains on completing the remaining construction phases under ECRC’s guidance and meeting the 3Q26 target. With a clarified ownership structure dominated by Alliance Global Group and Travellers, Westside Resort is now positioned to move confidently into the next stage of Manila’s competitive integrated resort market.
