EGT Digital Partners with SportPesa to Expand in Africa
EGT Digital has entered into a partnership with SportPesa, bringing its proprietary casino games to the betting and gaming operator’s platform and expanding its reach across African markets.
The agreement adds EGT Digital’s in-house developed gaming content to SportPesa’s existing offering, giving customers access to a wider selection of casino games. The collaboration also supports EGT Digital’s plans to grow its presence in regulated African markets through relationships with established regional operators.
Founded in Nairobi in 2014, SportPesa operates in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. The company has developed an established position in African betting and gaming, supported by its regional market knowledge and digital services.
SportPesa Adds EGT Digital Casino Content
Through the integration, SportPesa customers can access games from EGT Digital’s casino portfolio. The supplier’s titles feature a variety of gameplay styles and mechanics designed to cater to different player preferences.
The partnership combines EGT Digital’s expanding content offering with SportPesa’s experience and customer reach across the continent. For EGT Digital, working with an established operator provides another route to introduce its games to audiences in African markets.
Zsuzsanna Zeibig, General Manager of EGT for Africa, highlighted SportPesa’s familiarity with regional markets and customers as a key factor in the partnership.
“SportPesa is a highly recognised name in African gaming, with deep knowledge of its markets and customers,” Zeibig said.
She added that the agreement was an important development in EGT Digital’s efforts to expand across Africa, expressing confidence in the potential to build on the relationship.
SportPesa Looks to Broaden Its Gaming Offering
Adam Beighton, Director of Commercial Operations at SportPesa, said the addition of EGT Digital’s games would give customers more choice and enhance their gaming experience.
He described the partnership as consistent with SportPesa’s digital foundations and its focus on future development. Beighton also said EGT Digital’s games were a good fit for the platform and welcomed the opportunity to work together as the operator continues to develop its offering.
SportPesa has more than a decade of experience in African gaming. It was Kenya’s first digital betting company, initially providing betting services through SMS and USSD channels.
Its current portfolio covers sports betting, live betting, casino games, jackpots and other digital gaming products.
SportPesa's Regional Presence Supports Partnership
Beyond its digital products, SportPesa has established links with African sport and local communities through sustained support for grassroots and professional sporting initiatives.
Its regional experience, customer base and digital focus provide the foundation for the collaboration with EGT Digital. The agreement allows the supplier to extend the distribution of its proprietary games through an operator with an established presence in several African countries.
The partnership forms part of EGT Digital’s wider international expansion strategy, which centres on working with established operators to bring its in-house developed gaming content to regulated markets worldwide.
