Galaxy Launches World Cup Responsible Gaming Campaign

Galaxy Entertainment Group has introduced a new internal initiative linked to the FIFA World Cup, using the tournament as a platform to promote responsible gaming among employees and the wider Macau community. The programme, titled "GEG Responsible Gaming Promotional Program: Football World Cup Series" also places special emphasis on raising awareness among young people.

Responsible Gaming Activities Across Properties

The campaign was developed in partnership with the Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Service Coordination Office. As part of the initiative, Galaxy organised a series of activities called "World Cup Goal Challenge: Clear Eyes, Responsible Plays" in employee areas at Galaxy Macau and StarWorld Hotel.

The programme featured interactive games, educational displays and on-site counselling services designed to communicate responsible gaming messages. According to the company, the activities aimed to help employees better understand the warning signs of gambling-related harm while increasing awareness of available support services.

Unlike customer-facing campaigns, these sessions were held in staff-only areas, allowing the company to engage directly with employees working within the gaming industry and strengthen their understanding of responsible gaming practices.

Community Outreach During the Tournament

Beyond its internal activities, Galaxy also participated in the "RG Man Competition World Cup Special Edition" organised by the Macao Leisure Industry Employees Home. Following the event, company representatives extended the campaign into the local community.

Through interactive engagement with residents and visitors, the outreach programme encouraged responsible enjoyment of World Cup matches while reinforcing messages about balanced and rational entertainment.

The company said combining workplace education with community engagement was intended to broaden awareness of responsible gaming during one of the year's most popular sporting events.

Part of a Broader Responsible Gaming Strategy

Galaxy noted that the World Cup initiative complements several other responsible gaming projects currently underway. One of these is the "World Cup Forum Theatre Tour Gambling on the Line" where gaming employees attend performances focused on healthy participation in sports and responsible gambling awareness.

The company has also launched "Smart Sight MAX" a limited-time World Cup-themed online prize game, adding a digital element to its responsible gaming activities during the tournament.

According to Galaxy, these initiatives are intended to encourage both young people and the wider public to enjoy sporting events responsibly while increasing awareness of healthy entertainment habits.

Reinforcing Responsible Play

By linking World Cup celebrations with educational activities, Galaxy Entertainment has expanded its responsible gaming efforts across employees, local residents, tourists and younger audiences. Through interactive events, counselling services and community outreach, the company continues to promote informed and responsible participation in gaming while encouraging balanced entertainment throughout the tournament period.
