GGBET UA Backs Ukraine SuperLeague Media Slam
The Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU), supported by title sponsor GGBET UA, has held a Media Slam, the first open media event in the history of the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague. The initiative created a space for industry stakeholders to review the regular season and assess the performance of Ukraine’s men’s and women’s national teams.
Established in 1992, the SuperLeague is the country’s top-tier basketball competition. In 2026, GGBET UA took on the role of title sponsor. Alongside reviewing season outcomes, participants also discussed the league’s increasing competitiveness and the gradual return of fans to arenas despite ongoing martial law conditions in Ukraine.
The event also included recognition for standout performances, with the top five players of the regular season receiving awards. Kyiv-Basket, winners of the Ukrainian Cup, were additionally honoured with a financial prize.
Sergii Mishchenko, CEO of GGBET UA, commented: “Our involvement in Ukrainian basketball goes beyond visibility. We approach this as a long-term commitment, driven by the growing interest in the sport. Recognising achievements, such as Kyiv-Basket’s Cup victory, is important, as stronger competition ultimately contributes to the development of basketball in Ukraine.”
Since January 2026, GGBET UA has served as title sponsor of the SuperLeague and as an official partner of Ukraine’s national basketball teams. The company expanded its presence in sports throughout 2025, including a three-year partnership with FC Dynamo Kyiv, sponsorship of FC Polissya Zhytomyr and involvement in the Usyk vs Dubois 2 boxing event, further strengthening its international positioning. Basketball now represents the next phase in its broader sports strategy following football and boxing.
