Google Partners Abios for Esports Data Integration
Google is preparing to roll out enhanced esports coverage through a new data partnership with Abios, the esports division of Kambi Group, aimed at improving how fans access competitive gaming information across its platforms.
The multi-year agreement will see Abios supply detailed esports data to power various Google products, including Google Search and the Google App. The integration is expected to go live soon, introducing expanded esports features to a global audience.
The initial rollout will focus on four major esports titles: League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and VALORANT. The data offering includes match schedules, fixtures, live scores, team and player statistics and broader competitive insights, enabling more comprehensive coverage directly within Google’s ecosystem.
Abios provides large-scale esports data services, including odds, widgets and real-time feeds across leading titles. Its infrastructure and subject-matter expertise support partners in delivering tailored esports experiences to users worldwide.
For Kambi, the collaboration represents a strategic step in extending the reach of its esports data solutions, leveraging Google’s global platforms to bring structured and accessible information to a wider audience.
Werner Becher, CEO of Kambi Group, said: “This partnership highlights the strength of the data capabilities developed by Abios. Working with a global platform like Google allows us to expand how esports information is delivered and experienced.”
Marvin Brischke, EMEA Sports Partnerships Lead at Google, added: “As esports continues to grow, expanding access to reliable and detailed information is a key focus. This collaboration supports that goal by enhancing the content available to users.”
