Jeju Dream Tower Plans 216 Gaming Tables for 2027
Jeju Dream Tower may increase its casino capacity from 170 to 216 gaming tables in 2027, according to a report by brokerage firm iM Securities Co Ltd. The proposed changes would expand gaming operations beyond the property’s existing second-floor casino, adding facilities on the third and sixth floors.
Analyst Hwang Jiwon detailed the potential expansion in a Friday report on Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd, the company behind the South Korean property and its foreigners-only casino. The proposed increase would raise the total number of tables by slightly more than 27%.
Proposed Gaming Areas Across Three Floors
Under the reported plan, the second-floor casino would gain 20 additional mass-market baccarat tables, increasing capacity within the existing gaming area.
The third floor would house a dedicated Texas Hold’em poker area. However, the brokerage report did not specify how many poker tables would be installed there, according to details reported by GGRAsia.
A separate VIP baccarat area featuring 16 tables would be established on the sixth floor. The proposed configuration would distribute mass-market baccarat, poker and VIP baccarat operations across three levels.
The plan therefore involves both increasing the casino’s table inventory and relocating or extending gaming activities into additional parts of the property. The changes are reportedly being considered for implementation from 2027.
Lotte Tour Development Declines to Comment
The source of the information behind iM Securities’ proposed expansion was not identified in the brokerage report.
When contacted by GGRAsia, a representative of Lotte Tour Development declined to comment on the analyst’s account of a possible restructuring of the casino’s gaming facilities.
As a result, the proposed increase to 216 tables and the planned floor arrangements remain details reported by the brokerage rather than a confirmed announcement from the company.
Official Figures Show 169 Tables in April 2026
Data published by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recorded 169 gaming tables at Jeju Dream Tower in April 2026, one fewer than the 170-table baseline cited by iM Securities.
The ministry’s figures included 140 baccarat tables and 16 poker tables. The remaining inventory consisted of five blackjack tables, four roulette tables and four dai sai tables.
These figures reflect the casino’s recorded table inventory at the time of the ministry’s data, while the brokerage’s report outlines a potential future expansion based on its own starting figure.
Jeju Sets Requirements for Gaming Capacity Increases
A Jeju government official told GGRAsia that changes increasing a gaming property’s table inventory by less than 50% require notification to and consultation with the local authorities.
For increases exceeding 50%, the property must obtain planning permission from the Jeju authorities.
Under the reported proposal, the increase from 170 to 216 tables would fall below the 50% threshold. Nevertheless, the official’s explanation indicates that notification and consultation requirements would still apply to an expansion of this size.
