LeoVegas’ Tiger Sportsbook Goes Live on BetMGM Brazil

LeoVegas Group has confirmed the launch of its proprietary Tiger sportsbook on BetMGM Brazil, marking a major step in its technology-led expansion strategy. The announcement, shared via the company’s official LinkedIn channel, confirms that Tiger is now powering BetMGM Brazil’s sportsbook offering ahead of the start of the Brazilian football season.

BetMGM Brazil operates through a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Grupo Globo Mídia e Conteúdo, combining MGM’s global gaming expertise with Globo’s extensive local media reach. Under the new agreement, LeoVegas’ Tiger platform will deliver the sportsbook product, featuring advanced BetBuilder functionality, gamified bonuses and a streamlined user experience tailored to Brazilian players.

Proprietary Technology Takes Center Stage

According to Adriana Vella, Chief Product and Technology Officer at LeoVegas Group, the rollout represents a defining milestone for the company’s long-term vision. She described the Tiger launch on BetMGM Brazil as a historic achievement, underlining LeoVegas’ commitment to owning and developing its own technology rather than relying on third-party suppliers.

Vella noted that deploying the Tiger sportsbook in two major regulated markets within a short timeframe demonstrates the flexibility and scalability of LeoVegas’ in-house platform. She also highlighted the timing of the launch, pointing to a packed global sports calendar that includes the World Cup, which is expected to drive heightened engagement and demand for sportsbook innovation.

BetMGM Builds Momentum in Brazil

The partnership builds on BetMGM’s entry into Brazil following market regulation in 2025, when MGM Resorts formally launched the brand in the country alongside Grupo Globo. At the time, MGM leadership described Brazil as a strategically vital market, citing its scale, growth potential, and strong sports culture.

Grupo Globo’s role was positioned as a key differentiator, offering unmatched local insight and reach to support BetMGM’s rollout and customer acquisition strategy. The collaboration was framed as a foundation for rapid market penetration and long-term brand positioning.

Market Opportunity Meets Execution

The integration of Tiger into BetMGM Brazil reflects a broader trend of international operators pairing proprietary technology with strong local partnerships to capitalize on newly regulated markets. With domestic football returning and major international tournaments approaching, the launch places both LeoVegas and BetMGM Brazil in a strong position to attract early momentum through performance-driven sportsbook features and enhanced user experience.
