Liga MX Names Polymarket Official US Partner
Liga MX has entered into a partnership with Polymarket and Genius Sports that will see the prediction market platform become the official prediction market partner of Mexico’s top football league in the United States.
Under the agreement, Polymarket will serve as the exclusive prediction market partner for Liga MX competitions in the US. The collaboration covers major league events, including the Campeón de Campeones match, scheduled to take place on July 25, 2026, in Carson, California.
The partnership further reflects the growing relationship between professional sports organisations and prediction market platforms. Eligible users in the United States will be able to access Liga MX-related prediction markets beginning with the 2026-27 season, which starts in July.
Liga MX officials described the agreement as a new way to strengthen engagement with supporters in one of the league’s most important international markets. José Romano, Commercial Vice President of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), said the collaboration will provide fans with new digital experiences while maintaining the integrity and credibility of league competitions.
A central element of the agreement is the role of Genius Sports, which already serves as Liga MX’s official data, streaming and integrity partner.
Through the partnership, Genius Sports will supply Polymarket with official league data used to create and settle prediction market contracts linked to Liga MX matches. Market outcomes will be determined using verified data provided directly through the league’s official channels.
Genius Sports’ GeniusIQ platform, which operates across Liga MX venues, will support the delivery of official data and integrity services throughout the competition. The companies stated that using official information is intended to ensure transparency and accuracy across all prediction markets.
Polymarket President of Sports Business Development Ari Borod highlighted the importance of trusted data in delivering reliable prediction markets, noting that Liga MX remains one of the most followed football leagues globally.
The collaboration adds to Polymarket’s expanding portfolio of sports-related prediction products and provides fans with additional ways to engage with league competitions.
Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke also emphasized the growing importance of official sports data in both fan engagement products and integrity initiatives. He said the partnership demonstrates how verified data can help support transparent prediction markets while protecting the integrity of sporting competitions.
The agreement further illustrates the increasing role of official data providers in the evolving prediction market sector, where accuracy, transparency and trust continue to be key priorities for operators, leagues and consumers alike.
