PAGCOR Revenue Falls 23.4% to Php64.41bn in 9M 2026
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) reported a 23.4% year-on-year reduction in revenue for the first nine months of 2026, with total income falling to Php64.41 billion (approximately $1.01 billion). The decline was largely attributed to weaker results from its electronic gaming operations.
Electronic gaming revenue fell by 37.2% to Php27.63 billion, while income from licensed casinos decreased by 3.2% to Php23.10 billion. Casino Filipino, PAGCOR’s own casino network, recorded an 8% decline to Php7.28 billion. Revenue from poker operations also dropped by 4.6%, reaching Php105.86 million.
Overall, gaming revenue contracted by 23.4% to Php58.13 billion. Income from allied services declined by 38.6% to Php3.04 billion, while revenue from other sources remained relatively stable at Php3.23 billion.
PAGCOR net income drops 85%
PAGCOR’s operating expenses increased by 3% during the reporting period, reaching Php19.86 billion. This contributed to a 31% decrease in pre-tax profit, which stood at Php44.55 billion.
The corporation’s net income experienced a much sharper decline, falling by 85% to Php2.17 billion, equivalent to approximately $34 million.
The reduction was partly linked to a Supreme Court ruling issued in October 2025, which requires PAGCOR to transfer 5% of its gross revenue to the Philippine Sports Commission.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco acknowledged the impact of declining gaming income on the organisation’s financial results but reaffirmed its commitment to its regulatory and operational responsibilities.
“While we recognize the impact of lower gaming revenues on our financial performance, PAGCOR remains committed to carrying out its mandate. We will continue to pursue responsible and sustainable operations while ensuring that the gaming industry adheres to regulatory standards” Tengco said.
Despite the weaker financial performance, PAGCOR reported contributing Php45.28 billion towards nation-building initiatives and other mandatory obligations during the first nine months of 2026. This included approximately Php27.61 billion transferred to the National Treasury.
