Polymarket Adds User Protection and Trading Controls
Polymarket has announced a series of measures designed to strengthen user protection and introduce additional responsible trading tools across its platforms.
Among the new features are voluntary self-exclusion and deposit limits intended for users experiencing compulsive trading practices. These tools are designed to give users greater control over their participation and spending.
Polymarket is also establishing a dedicated Trust and Safety team to oversee the initiatives across its international platforms and US division. The company said the work will include introducing new community rules and standards governing content.
As part of its approach to supporting users affected by compulsive trading, Polymarket has partnered with Birches Health, described as the biggest provider of behavioural and process addictions treatment. The partnership is intended to improve users’ access to psychological services for compulsive traders.
Malea Otranto, global head of trust and safety at Polymarket, said:
“People should be able to set their own limits, step away on their own terms, and know what the rules are. That is what launched today, and it is the floor, not the ceiling. We’re excited to continue to build out from here.”
Alongside the new controls and support measures, Polymarket is developing educational resources focused on helping users understand and practise responsible trading.
