Resorts World NYC Opens First Live Dealer Casino
Resorts World New York City has launched the city’s first live dealer casino floor, marking a significant step in the evolution of New York City’s gaming sector. The new space officially opened on April 28 following a launch event.
The debut introduces live table games including blackjack, craps, baccarat and roulette within the city for the first time. The rollout follows approval from the New York State Gaming Commission and comes months after the operator positioned itself as a candidate for a full casino licence.
The newly opened gaming area features more than 240 table games, complementing the venue’s existing offering of over 2,500 slot machines. This expansion significantly broadens the range of available gaming options at the property.
The venue, operated by Genting Group, described the launch as a key milestone in its transition from a slots-focused racino to a full-scale casino. The addition strengthens its presence in the local market and enhances the overall visitor experience.
The development has been supported by a large-scale recruitment drive, with approximately 1,250 new positions created. This includes around 950 table game dealers to support operations on the live gaming floor.
Further expansion is planned, with additional gaming areas expected to be introduced in autumn 2026. The current launch represents part of a broader development plan aimed at transforming the property.
The opening comes as New York continues to progress with wider casino expansion plans across the state. Additional licensed properties are expected to open in the coming years, reflecting growing investment in the sector.
As the first venue to introduce live table gaming within New York City, Resorts World positions itself at the forefront of the city’s evolving casino landscape.
